Grammy Award
Okay, so not the usual “Grammy” I refer to here at TinySophisticate….but Grammy as in music. I’m never one to pass up a party…or a reason to have a party, and today is no different. Tonight is the Grammy Awards and here are some fun party/menu ideas. Whether you are having people over, or it’s just a Sunday Funday Family Dinner night, any excuse is a good excuse for a party!
Use the genre of your favorite music as inspiration for your party and menu…stick with one type or mix it up with something to represent all:
- Motown? A comfort menu of Detroit style pizza, sliders and Coney dogs
- Country? BBQ is a must, and don’t forget the Jack Daniels
- Pop? A fun eclectic mix of mini, single serving food seems perfect for this. Mini-burgers, soup shots and mini-cupckes. Yum. Check out some ideas I found on Pinterest.
- Heavy metal? I don’t know…but the best food to represent this style seems like meat and potatoes. And when I say meat, I mean real meat. Like a bone in Filet.
- Jazz? I’d go with a New Orleans inspired menu from the genre’s early days. Maybe po boys, jumbalaya and/or gumbo.
