Hanes Virtual Sock Drive

TGIF!!! I can’t believe how quickly today flew by! But, hey, I’m not complaining.

Workout

After dominating my To Do list this morning, I headed to the gym for a run on the treadmill. The weather was sunny with temps in the upper 40’s, so I could have easily run outside, but I felt like sweating today, specifically on the treadmill where I sweat a lot. I dunno, maybe I’m weird, but I love sweat.

I ran 6.5 miles with the help of a 45-minute treadmill workout. I followed it for about 5 miles and then ran another another 1.5 miles at a steady pace. I was a sweaty mess by the end. Goal achieved.

Lunch

For lunch, I threw together a turkey and cheddar cheese sandwich with avocado on a whole wheat bun. Delish.

After lunch, I felt like I needed a little pick-me-up, so I whipped up a smoothie with frozen banana, chocolate almond milk, iced coffee, and vanilla protein powder. It hit the spot.

Hanes Virtual Sock Drive

I love this idea! It such a simple way to help!

Hanes is donating socks to The Salvation Army this holiday season as part of their Third Annual Virtual Sock Drive. For every person who clicks “donate now” on the sock tab, Hanes will donate an actual pair of socks to The Salvation Army. The goal is to donate 500,000 socks!

Hanes kicked off the sock drive earlier this month on LA’s Skid Row with The Salvation Army, handing out socks and food to those in need. As a little TGIF break, check out the video of the event– and then get clicking!

We’re off to New Haven! Have a wonderful weekend!
