SaturDAY in the Outer Cape

P6185710

We got up on Saturday morning and decided to get some exercise and see the Outer Cape by bike.

We did 16 miles on the Cape Cod Rail Trail- it was beautiful day to be on a trail!

Half way through our ride we stopped at the The Beachcomber for lunch.

We all ordered the spinach salad with granny smith apple slices, dried cranberries, walnuts, and bleu cheese. I ordered mine with grilled Cajun shrimp on top- yum!

As soon as our salads hit the table we noticed that they weren’t put on a plate but in a flour tortilla that had been fried into a bowl. Ugh- I quickly asked for a plate and moved the salad over – hoping for the best!

For a beachy restaurant- we were pleasantly surprised how great our salads tasted but disappointed we were not ASKED before getting our salad in a flour bowl!

We got back on our bikes and just took in the scenery- what a day to be riding near the beach!

I then dropped off my bike at Idle Bikes and met the girls next door at Nauset Ice Cream.

I always get jealous of my friends eating out of cones so I brought a gf cone down to the cape this weekend- ha! I ordered a small scoops of both black raspberry chip yogurt and lemon dream, sat on there patio and enjoyed my treat at the end of my ride- it reminded me of our trip last year.
